Their Engagement Story:
Jamie and Matt met when Matt was in Jamie’s dad’s fire academy program. They have been together a little more than 3 years. They always knew they wanted to get married, but Jamie had just been accepted to nursing school and Matt was still trying to get on the fire department. He proposed at her nursing school graduation party in front of most of her family and friends 3 years later this past December 2008. They both have our dream careers now and it has been a long, deserving road, but are very happy to now plan their wedding.
Wedding Day Theme Plan
Jamie and Matt are getting married in her church. They have not decided on the reception location, but it will be a Fall wedding so lots of candles, and rich colors in Chocolate brown and berry.
What the couple believes is special about their wedding that makes them feel they should win this free sponsorship?
Our wedding is special because we have been through a lot together thus far and literally know what it means stick together when life gets tough. We always tell people if we can make it while he was in a 12 week fire academy and 2 years of nursing school; barely seeing each other, and sometimes being the 2nd priority to each other when tests/finals/24 hour long shifts are involved we can do anything! We have a lot of love for each other, mutual respect and common interests in life that makes us very compatible. We both love helping people and being there in their times of need. Both of our families have wanted us to be married for quite some time now, and they are all very excited about the up-coming wedding because it has been such a long, stressful at times road, but our love has surpassed all the obstacles and made us stronger. That’s what makes us special.
